BOISE, Idaho (June 15, 2021) – Solid State Operations (SS0) is pleased to introduce its new Software Process Manager, Micah Marshall. A technically adept Project Manager with years of experience as an engineer and as a leader of diverse teams in the Software Development and DevOps space, Micah brings a unique and essential expertise to the SSO team of professionals.
Prior to joining SSO, Micah served as a Project Manager and SCRUM Master for the Infrastructure Team at Jackson Food Stores, where he served in a hybrid role, leading their SCRUM and Project Management processes. From 2015 through 2018 Micah provided leadership services for MWI-AmerisourceBergen as a liaison between the development and business sectors of the company also serving in a hybrid SCRUM Master/Project Manager role. As a young man, Micah began his professional experience with the United States Army as a Counterintelligence Special Agent assigned to 5th Special Forces Group (Airborne) and served his country after the deadly attacks on 9/11.
“I think my background lends itself very well to my current role,” Micah says. “I’m excited to be in a position where my actions have an immediate and direct impact on the efficiency of software development at the company.”
As Software Process Manager, Micah reports directly to the CTO and will oversee the Technical Project Management process for all development and operations. Micah will also lead the Release Management and manual Quality Assurance groups for the company. He will lead teams in Background Grooming and Sprint Planning meetings to ensure agile workflows and processes over the course of multiple projects – all of which contribute to the SSO mission to make a meaningful impact on individual lives, and to strengthen communities through partnerships with state and federal governments.
Beyond the work environment, Micah’s enthusiastic leadership skills serve him well as a very involved father of five children. He has coached soccer, wrestling, and football; and as a Boise native he enjoys camping, fishing, kayaking, and building classic hotrod pickup trucks.
